PointMatch is a privately owned company, set up in 1999, to develop an international online dating service. PointMatch was set up with the cooperation of investors, based on the successful activities of Israel's leading online dating site, Cupid (www.cupid.co.il). Cupid, developed by Z-tech Computers in cooperation with Walla, Israel's leading portal, went online in early 1997. Cupid is based on a totally unique smart search engine, which enables precise personal matching between partners, according to the characteristics defined by the users. In January 2001 PointMatch expanded its activities to the international market, by establishing a new subsidiary company, PointMatch USA Inc, based in the United States.
